I don't know about you guys, but that start was a little scary. Not too long ago, Stan and John on 100% were the only guys that were on the line when the gun went off. Now all of us are trying to be the first off the line. I tried to get my boat in there but there wasn't any room and I sort of like the way my fiberglass looks. It was a pretty good day for racing. We had wind (on and off) and it wasn't too hot. The guys that stayed close to shore ran out of wind in some areas and it seemed like the best place to be was in the middle.
Our race committee did a great job. I would like to extend thanks to Jackie and Ken Didion, Fox Stoddard and our french chefs Marty and John Ace.
Don't forget our Awards Banquet on Sept 28 at the Capri Restaurant.
Please do not get discouraged with your standings in the race results. We have something in the works that should make most of you happy and you will find out about it at the Awards Dinner.
If any of you guys have an extra Genny for a Catalina 22, let me know.
